  • About 159 of 330 patients who started treatment that month had waited longer than 62 days since their urgent referral
  • About 62 of them had waited longer than 104 days

Each figure counts patients whose wait ended in that month. A patient treated by two trusts counts as half for each, so some numbers are not whole. The latest months are provisional and may be revised by NHS England.

Red: worse than England. Amber: better than England, but misses the national standard. Green: better than England and meets the standard. Black: about the same as England. The standard is 85%.

Types with fewer than 20 patients in the month are left out, because one or two patients would swing the percentage. Some cancers need more tests before treatment can safely start, so types are not directly comparable with each other.

What isn't published

These figures stop when treatment starts. Nothing is published about treatment sessions that are cancelled or cut short on the day, or about how long patients wait for each session once treatment is under way.
