Log a wait

Council services, East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Somewhere else?

This does not ask the council for anything. Apply to East Riding of Yorkshire Council first, then log the wait here. Nothing you enter is passed to the council.

For benefit claims, grants, school transport, planning, admission appeals, Freedom of Information requests, Blue Badges, complaints and anything else the council keeps you waiting for.

Good or bad, every wait counts. A quick wait tells us as much as a slow one.

What were you waiting for?

Date you applied or asked

The day you sent the application or request. For a benefit claim, the day you gave the council everything it asked for.

How did it end?

Date you got the decision or service, or you gave up

I gave up waiting.

I'm still waiting. Start my clock. We'll email about once a month to ask if you're still waiting.

Times you chased it up (optional)

Enter 0 if you reported it once and left it.

How many different people or departments did you have to explain it to? (optional)

Enter 1 if the first person you spoke to dealt with it.

Your postcode area (optional)

The first part only, such as HU5. It lets us show waits by area.

Your email

To confirm your wait and send you your record. If you're still waiting, we also email about once a month to ask. Deleted once your wait is finished. Never published or passed on.

I agree to this wait being stored and used in combined figures for this council, as set out in the privacy notice. It says that I asked the council for this, and I can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

This is a true account of my own experience, or of someone I was with or caring for, to the best of my memory.

Dates and numbers only. We never ask your name, your address or the details of your case.
