Log a wait

Special educational needs, Hull City Council. Somewhere else?

This does not ask the council for anything. Ask Hull City Council in writing first, then log the wait here. Nothing you enter is passed to the council. For free, independent help, contact your local SEND information, advice and support service (SENDIASS).

For parents and carers, and for young people aged 16 to 25 logging their own wait.

Good or bad, every wait counts. A quick wait tells us as much as a slow one.

What were you waiting for?

Date you asked the council

For a plan, the day you or the school asked for an assessment. Your best estimate is fine.

How did it end?

Date you got the answer, or you gave up

I gave up waiting.

I'm still waiting. Start my clock. We'll email about once a month to ask if you're still waiting.

Times you chased it up (optional)

Enter 0 if you reported it once and left it.

How many different people or departments did you have to explain it to? (optional)

Enter 1 if the first person you spoke to dealt with it.

Your postcode area (optional)

The first part only, such as HU5. It lets us show waits by area.

Your email

To confirm your wait and send you your record. If you're still waiting, we also email about once a month to ask. Deleted once your wait is finished. Never published or passed on.

I agree to this wait being stored and used in combined figures for this council, as set out in the privacy notice. It says that my child has, or may have, special educational needs, and I can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

This is a true account of my own experience, or of someone I was with or caring for, to the best of my memory.

Dates and numbers only. We never ask your child's name, school, diagnosis or needs.
